Layla's 3rd Birthday...

Now that I've finally posted about Mason's birthday, its time to catch up on Layla's.  My sweet little girl turned 3 at the end of August.

Starting the day off right, with donuts...

Opening a few presents...
Off to Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead...
I gotta have more cow bell, baby!...
Jade loved petting the goats, Mason was interested in seeing but not touching.
Layla got out of that pin asap.
She just saw these pictures and told me the goats were biting her pants. :)...
 Lunch at Pizza Street...
My Mom makes the best cakes and cupcakes!!!...
Since pancakes are one of her favorite foods, that's what we had for her party
(only many, many more than pictures here)...
She spent the whole next week walking around the house singing,
"Here comes the married, Here comes the married,
Here comes the married, Here comes the married."
I don't even know where she heard the wedding march. :)...

Layla like to be both little and big, depending on which suits the situation better.  When its time to do something that big sister wants to do, she is a big girl.  When its time to clean her room, she is too little.  Either way, she's a sweetie and we're crazy about her (or because of her, I'm still not sure)! <3

Pancake Lovers...

My children love pancakes!!!  Today, in-between basketball games, we grabbed a bite to eat.  The kids got pancakes.  Jade's pancake was (literally) almost the same size as her plate and not some thin, little thing.  Here was the end result...

Puttin' On The Ritz...

Recently, the girls got to go to a birthday party for their sweet friend, Olivia.  They got to wear their dress-up dresses and enjoy a very girly party complete with nail painting, face painting, and lots of other fun!

Since they were dressed all fancy, I thought that Little Man needed a little something special, too.  I had no idea I would love him in a tie so much!
(However, I thought he was so cute that I am thinking of having a "Little Man" party for his first birthday with ties, mustaches, and such.)
That smile on his face is directly related
to the ice cream on his chin.
Ben became his Best Friend that afternoon!

By the way, my husband recently made me watch the music video for Taco's Puttin' On The Ritz
(thus the title of this blog post) for the first time and I gotta say its just creepy enough to be mesmerizing.   I've heard the song many a time, but had never seen the video (which is from the year I was born).  It has a way of sticking in your head.  Don't believe me? Check it out:
